We had a busy week! We finished our iReady reading test, and we are still working on our math test. Everyone did an amazing job on their iReady reading exam.  We will take the test one more time at the end of the year.  Then throughout each grade, your student will take the iReady test three times a year.
Many students are having a hard time at recess. Specifically, they will not stay out of the mud. Please talk to your child about following the directions during all parts of the school day. It is a good idea to put an extra set of clothes in your child’s backpack.
Ms. Fish, Ms. Ruby and I are planning the Valentine’s Day party.  We will need volunteers. A donation/volunteering sheet will go out around the end of next week. You should have received the class list and information about the Valentine’s Day party earlier this week. If you did not, I included everything on this website.
Reading- We compared and contracted different reading books this week and talked about bullying. We finished up the Three Little Pigs. Next week we will be reading about Groundhogs Day.
Writing– We are adding a beginning, middle, and end of our story.
Social Studies- We are learning about timelines and past, present and future. We sorted pictures of people and placed them on a timeline.
Math-We are learning how to solve story problems and the difference between add and subtract. Most students finished their first math journal, and now we are working on a new journal.
