Science Project Help Needed

Dear Families,
As you know, our kindergartners are currently learning about push, pull, force and motion.  On MARCH 17TH, we will be putting on our “engineer hats” and designing and constructing a model of a toy that can be moved across the floor in different directions with a push and/or pull. We would like each child to bring in items from home for this project. Any recycled materials that can be used to make a model toy should be sent in. A few examples include:
egg cartons       tissue boxes
cereal boxes        cardboard
toilet paper rolls        paper towel rolls
string
empty  spools
lids
straws
empty plastic jars
balls
yarn
pipe cleaners
I would also appreciate donations of duct tape.  I would like to gather a lot of items that the kids can use to build their project, so the more, the merrier!  I would like to recruit some parents to help with this project.  If you are available from 10:00-11:30ish on March 17, please email me.   It would be great if parent volunteers would bring a power drill or hot glue gun to help students with their creations. We are looking forward to this project.  Please send your child’s items to school between now and March 17th.
Thank you for your support!
