We have been asked to have a scaled-down Valentine’s Day party without parent volunteers. We will be having Valentine’s Days centers in the afternoon. We do need a couple of items if you would like to donate, we could use:
Box of Cheerios
Paper towels
Doughnuts (20)
Friendly Reminder to send in your 100-day items on Monday and Valentines’ Day cards by Friday. We will be passing out Valentine’s Day Cards on Friday! We will make Valentine’s day bags in class.
Tuesday afternoon, we celebrate the 100th day of school by switching teachers. Every kindergarten student will go to each kindergarten classroom and learn about the number 100. Each teacher will be doing a different 100-day activity. It should be a fun afternoon.
On Friday, we learned about Groundhogs Day, and we finished the reading part of the iReady test. Next week we will continue to work on the iReady math exam. In addition, students learned about shadows and may keep the flashlight at home to continue exploring shadows.
We will reschedule Global Playday to a different day in March.
If you want to volunteer and play a game with the students in the hallway, we have spots available, even if it is a one-time occurrence. The students love it when family members come in to help.
